i’d never eaten lobster before.
it’s not really my thing.
but, when one is invited to go out for the last of the day’s catch,
and then back to the lobsterman’s home for a feast.
well, if you’re going to eat lobster anytime, that is the time.
(and if you’re lucky, the lobsterman’s son, who is also a lobsterman, will crack it all open for you.) (and if you’re really really lucky, the lobsterman’s wife will give you a tour of the old granite quarry while the lobsters cook, and drive you out to the forest gump lighthouse after you eat in the chilly dusk on the deck.)

  1. I love this part of Maine! We spent our honeymoon right near there in Cushing. Those lobster photos are making me drool a little!
